Amendments to Para 4.42 of the Handbook of Procedures 2015-2020 for Export Obligation and Composition Fee

This Public Notice from the Director General of Foreign Trade amends the provisions of Para 4.42 of the Handbook of Procedures 2015-2020. The notice makes changes to the rules governing extension of export obligation period, composition fee and self-declaration for Advance Authorizations issued under Appendix-4J. The notice specifies the new composition fee to be levied in case of extension of export obligation period and self-declaration to be submitted by the Authorisation holder. The notice also lays out the conditions under which the Regional Authority may consider a request for extension of export obligation period, and the new composition fee to be levied in such cases. The notice also limits the number of extension allowed and the total period of extension allowed. This notice is effective from the date of its publication, 18th January 2023. See Public Notice.
