New Tariff Values Announced for Various Goods by the Central Board of Indirect Taxes & Customs

The Central Board of Indirect Taxes & Customs (CBIC) has made amendments to the tariff values for various goods, including crude palm oil, gold, and silver, effective from April 1, 2023. The amendments were made in the Government of India’s Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) Notification No. 36/2001-Customs (N.T.), dated August 3, 2001. The new tariff values for goods like crude palm oil, RBD palm oil, crude palmolein, crude soybean oil, and brass scrap have been updated, along with gold and silver in different forms. The notification also states that there will be no change in the tariff value for areca nuts.
