Ministry of Commerce and Industry amends Export Policy for Cough Syrup

DGFT, Ministry of Commerce and Industry has amended the export policy for cough syrup, effective from June 1, 2023. The revised policy requires the export sample to be tested and a Certificate of Analysis (CoA) obtained from designated laboratories. The aim is to ensure the quality and safety of cough syrup products. The Ministry’s decision reflects their commitment to prioritize public health and strengthen consumer confidence in Indian pharmaceutical exports. All exporters must comply with the new regulations to continue exporting cough syrup.
