Government exempts “Rab” from GST

the government has exempted “Rab, other than pre-packaged and labelled” from Goods and Services Tax (GST) to a Nil rate. The notification No. 04/2023- Integrated Tax (Rate) was issued by the Ministry of Finance on 28th February 2023.

The exemption will apply to Rab that is not pre-packaged and labelled, which means that Rab sold loose or unpackaged will not attract GST.
