DGFT specifies procedure for import of marble and fresh Areca nut from Bhutan without Minimum Import Price condition

The Directorate General of Foreign Trade has laid down the procedure for the import of 10,000 MT of marble and 17,000 MT of fresh Areca nut without the Minimum Import Price (MIP) condition from Bhutan for the financial year 2023-24 onwards. Indian importers must apply for a Registration Certificate (RC) on the DGFT website before effecting any such imports without MIP from Bhutan. The maximum quantity cap for any single RC shall be fixed by the Directorate after due examination of the applications received. RCs shall be valid till the end of the financial year, and quarterly/half-yearly reviews of the utilization of RCs shall be undertaken in DGFT(Hqrs). The last date of filing of online applications for RCs for the financial year 2023-24 shall be 10th April 2023.
