Amendments to the Courier Imports and Exports (Clearance) Regulations, 1998
The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs has issued Notification No. 22/2023-Customs (N.T.), announcing amendments to the Courier Imports and Exports (Clearance) Regulations, 1998. Effective April 1, 2023, the Courier Imports and Exports (Clearance) Amendment Regulations, 2023, will come into force.
The amendments include the deletion of the proviso in sub-regulation (2) of regulation 2, clause (e), sub-clause (iii), and the substitution of punctuation. In addition, the limit of “five lakh” in sub-clause (v) of regulation 2 and the first proviso of regulation 6 has been raised to “ten lakh.”
